Lisa has served as the superintendent of Manteno Community Unit School District No 5 since July of 2013. She is a National Education Consultant who specializes in Special Education Reform and Comprehensive Program Reviews, Leadership, Motivation, Mindfulness, Social Emotional Programming, Reshaping Climate and Culture, and Systemic School Reform.
She works with school districts and Regional Offices of Education across the United States to provide high-quality professional development to educators and also audits/reviews large departments and organizations. Her workshops are filled with energy, passion, and celebrating gratitude!
Lisa is the owner of LMT Consulting and recently began a new venture as CEO of Leveraging Excellence, an educational and corporate consulting firm, that she founded with an outstanding fellow consultant.
Lisa was a finalist for the 2015 National Superintendent of the Year, was named Phi Delta Kappa International Educator of the Year in 2010, Phi Delta Kappa International Emergent Leader in 2008, and received the Steger School District Distinguished Educator Award in 2007. She knows there is power in collaborating and working together to accomplish amazing things!
Lisa resides in Manteno with her husband and three children.
